Have you ever looked at a problem solution on the web and wondered, 'where did they get that from?'.
Did you find yourself wishing you could ask someone on a study group that question, without clogging up your laptop (or phone) with screen shots? Or do
you run a college or university's study lab and would like a way to supplement your in-house services with a convenient messaging platform?
Then it is time to connect your study team to 'Electric Book' content. Here's how it works:
Our calculus review title includes nearly 100 examples of the most common topic concepts
One team captain (or mentor) signs up
The team mentor purchases a package of licenses for users
The team captain then invites members of the study group to join
And that's it!
Students can sign in and browse the title at his/her convenience. If there are any questions
about a solution, they can create Electric Book Links ('eBlinks') to send to mentors by e-mail. You can
even paste those links into any online chat service you'd like.
Students can also use their smart phone to capture 'homework-in-progress' and send the image to your team mentor, who can then uses a desktop application
to annotate the image and return a message, with no additional software required by the mentor. (And don't forget the free iPhone app that students can use to more
easily integrate their e-mail reader with mail to their mentor).
